This period is characterized by transition from playing with objects to action games. Children are interested in drawing, construction, molding and applique work as independent activities.

At this age new objects and events attract child’s attention, as well as complicate action with them. Children begin to experiment independently: study details of a toy and observe colors. Curiosity and attention to surrounding world are important signs of development.
